Harbor City Roller Dames are challenging our fans to get in the Valentine’s Day mood just in time for our next bout, Cupid Scuffle! Write a poem for HCRD (about our skaters, our sport, how Whoremione Granger is prettier then Scarlet Raven, etc) and you could win 2 tickets to our next home bout on February 11th against Chippewa Valley Roller Girls. The Salty Shaker and April Plowers, our featured poster skaters, will be the poetry judges! Each will select their favorite poem, which means there will be 2 winners!! So, light some scented candles, buy yourself some chocolates, and start posting your poems to the HCRD sport fan page! HCRD skaters, referees and staff are not eligible to win but are encouraged to showcase their love and creativity.

The Garda Belts from Minnesota RollerGirls came up and helped HCRD get ready for February 11th Cupid Scuffle. It was an exciting Sunday morning full of apex jumps, hip checks and trips to the penalty box. The final score was 165 to 105 in favor of HCRD. A huge thank you to the Garda Belts! If you are in St. Paul this weekend, January 21st at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium, the Garda Belts will be taking on the Atomic Bombshells. February 11th HOME BOUT- Cupid Scuffle

The Harbor City Roller Dames will have their audience falling in love at this bout as they direct the arrows of defeat at the Chippewa Valley Roller Girls. The bout entitled Cupid Scuffle promises heart pounding action on the track.

Cupid Scuffle will take place Saturday, February 11th, 2012 at South Pioneer Hall, DECC (350 Harbor Drive, Duluth, MN). Doors are at 7:00pm with roller derby action beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 plus applicable Ticketmaster fees. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations and the DECC Box Office. Children 10 and under are free with paid admission. Efforts from this bout will be donated to the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse (CASDA).

Day 5- Overspray

Overspray is showcased for our 5 day countdown. In Season 1, Overspray was voted Daredevil by her league and she is ready to show you why this weekend at The Roller Express. This skater took a brief hiatus from HCRD but has returned refreshed and ready to beat the competition. Proudly wearing the Nut Cracker red and gold this weekend, Overspray has been seen blocking and jamming on the track.

Day 6- Zesty Molesty

6 days to the Roller Express, we are pleased to showcase the lovely, and terrifying, Zesty Molesty. Zesty in the current Community Outreach Coordinator for HCRD. She is a force to be reckoned with on the track and is often seen blocking. Come out on December 17th and cheer her on!

Day 7- MoniStab7

ONE WEEK UNTIL THE ROLLER EXPRESS!! We figured with 7 days left, it is only fitting to showcase MoniStab 7. This dame is generally seen with the pivot stripe and is often the last line of defense. The sweetest lady off the track, but on the track watch your back! It is the best place to be stabbed.
